Union Rescue Outreach: A Night of Hope and Transformation

In December, we had the incredible opportunity to host the Union Rescue Outreach, a night dedicated to serving our community with warmth, food, and the powerful message of hope. Our vision was clear: to provide coats, boots, gloves, and a hot meal to those in need, while ending the evening with uplifting music and an inspiring message.

God’s Provision in Action

As we prepared for the event, we faced a challenge: the donations for coats and winter gear were not coming in as we had hoped. However, we held onto our faith and prayed for God’s provision. In a remarkable turn of events, God moved on the heart of the owner of Mercy Outreach, who generously partnered with us. Her ministry stepped in with an abundance of coats, boots, hats, and gloves, ensuring that we could meet the needs of those attending. What a blessing it was to see the outpouring of support!

A Warm Meal and a Powerful Message

On the night of the outreach, we helped to serve a hot meal to everyone who joined us. The atmosphere was filled with warmth and community, as people gathered not just to eat but to connect and share in fellowship. Following dinner, Christine Atkinson delivered a powerful message about the glory of God and how He desires to glorify Himself in our difficult situations. Her words resonated deeply, bringing hope and encouragement to many hearts.

Lives Changed at the Altar

As the evening progressed, we opened the altar for those who wanted to respond to the message. Many people came forward, renouncing fear, anxiety, and sickness. It was a moving sight to witness genuine tears of repentance as one man came to the altar, fully vulnerable before God. Another woman approached, seeking prayer for healing in her back. After prayer, she joyfully exclaimed that she felt a jolt go through her back and knew she had been touched by Jesus. She shouted, “Hallelujah!” as the power of God moved among us.

None of this would have been possible without the generous donations of time, supplies, and support from everyone who partnered with us. We are incredibly grateful to each and every one of you who contributed to this outreach. Your kindness and compassion made a significant impact in the lives of those we served.

As we reflect on this beautiful evening, we are reminded of the power of community and the incredible ways God moves in our midst. We look forward to more opportunities to serve and share the love of Christ in the future.
