A Night of Hope and Healing at the Union Rescue Mission

On February 20, 2025, our outreach team had the incredible opportunity to partner with a local church at the Union Rescue Mission, and what an unforgettable evening it turned out to be! The night began with our team working alongside volunteers from the other church to prepare and serve a warm meal to those in need. After the meal, we transitioned to the chapel for a time of worship and ministry. The title of my message was “Failure Does Not Define You; Your Relationship with God Does.” It was a personal topic for me, as I shared a recent experience where I felt like a failure. I spoke about how I overcame those feelings and learned to lean on my relationship with God. I also shared the inspiring story of David, a man after God’s own heart. Despite being handpicked by God for greatness, David made his share of mistakes and faced failures. Yet, it was his heart for God that defined him. I encouraged everyone to remember that we will all face failures and make mistakes, but like David, we must repent and worship our way through those challenges. I spoke life and hope over everyone in the room, reminding them that they are not failures but rather handpicked by God for greatness. The atmosphere was filled with encouragement and love as we gathered to lift each other up. To close the message, I played a powerful song by Sinach titled “Victory Is My Name,” and we worshipped together, lifting our voices in praise. The presence of the Holy Spirit was palpable, and it was a moment of deep connection and healing. At the end of the service, a few individuals came forward for prayer. One woman shared that Jesus had healed her of pain, while another man renounced the childhood trauma and abuse he had endured. It was a beautiful moment of breakthroughs and transformations, and we marveled at what God was doing in the hearts of those present. All glory to God for the incredible work He is doing in the lives of the people at the Union Rescue Mission! We are so thankful for the chance to serve, to share, and to witness the power of His love and grace. Thank you to everyone who participated, prayed, and supported this outreach. We can’t wait to see what God has in store for our next gathering!
